Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) & Credit Transfer
Recognition of prior learning, also referred to as RPL, is the formal acknowledgment of a person's current skills and knowledge, no matter how, when or where the learning occurred.
This is an important assessment pathway. The recognition gained may considerably reduce the study time needed to complete your qualification.
Credit transfer, is where formal learning (e.g.certificates, university and other qualifications) are recognised. An assessment is made of a previous course or subject that an applicant has achieved to determine whether it can be credited to the new course in which the applicant wishes to enrol.
Essential Skills Training recognises qualifications and statements of attainment issued by other RTOs. You will need to provide a certified copy for the document to be recognised.
